According to a report by the Japan Kyodo News Agency, the Japan Aerospace Exploration and Development Agency said on the 29th that it plans to launch a new solid-fuel rocket "Epsilon" No. 1 aircraft from August to September next year at the Nakura space observation station in Kagoshima Prefecture.

The aerospace organization is committed to compressing R&D expenditures for “Epsilon”. The launch cost of the No. 1 aircraft is estimated to be approximately 5.3 billion yen (approximately 400 million yuan), which is only half that of the H2A rocket.

The testing of “Epsilon” is carried out automatically by computers, which can significantly reduce the launch preparation time. The aerospace organization hopes to use "Epsilon" to launch small satellites with low cost and flexibility to increase its international competitiveness. The No. 1 aircraft will carry small satellites that orbit Venus and Mars.
