Dynamic pressure bearings are widely used in precision machinery, especially in machine tool spindles where high-speed and accurate operation are required. Proper layout and selection of these bearings are essential to ensure smooth performance, reduce wear, and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
Below is an analysis of several typical dynamic pressure bearing layouts and their applications:
1. **Deep and Shallow Cavity Dynamic Pressure Bearings**: These are ideal for high-speed and light-load machine tool spindles, such as those found in cylindrical grinders like M1432 and thing grinders like MGA6025. Their design allows for efficient oil flow and stability at high speeds.
2. **Torus-shaped Hole Type Deep and Shallow Cavity Bearings**: Suitable for medium-speed and medium-load applications, these bearings are commonly used in cylindrical grinders like MG1432, flat grinders like MM7150, and centerless grinders like M1080. They provide a balance between load capacity and speed.
3. **Pin-type Internal Reaction Dynamic Pressure Bearings**: These are designed for spindles that experience large variations in load and speed. Their internal reaction mechanism ensures consistent lubrication and support under changing conditions.
4. **Conical Hydrostatic Bearings**: Ideal for high-speed internal grinding heads, such as the 2110 internal grinding head, electric spindles, and inner channel grinding machines. These bearings offer superior stability and precision due to their conical design.
**Application Notes:**
- After one year of normal operation, it is recommended to replace 2# spindle oil and the coarse and fine filters.
- When refilling oil in the pump station, always use three layers of silk cloth filter to prevent contamination.
- When loading or unloading the spindle pulley and grinding wheel, ensure the pump station is operating. This keeps the spindle in a floating state, preventing damage to both the spindle and the bearing.
- Before starting the grinding wheel spindle, check if the pump station pressure and static pressure of the grinding head are within standard limits.
- When stopping the equipment, first turn off the grinding head motor, then stop the grinding wheel, and finally shut down the pump station. Failing to follow this order can damage the grinding head.
- If replacing any parts on the pump station, first remove the high-pressure oil inlet hose joint. After replacement, allow the oil circuit to self-circulate for 15–20 minutes before reconnecting the oil line to the grinding head. This ensures that only ultra-clean, finely filtered oil enters the spindle, extending its service life.
