Compared to the previous two interviewees, Zhuang Moumou carries a unique media identity. As an industry journalist known for his insightful comments, he starts each day flooded with urgent emails. "In the morning, there are often more than five tasks to handle—new decisions from headquarters, emerging industry trends, and company updates. These all get squeezed into a short time window," he says. While processing these emails, Zhuang takes the time to check the service website, ensuring every page is functioning properly and the titles are accurate, to prevent small issues caused by being too busy or careless.

"As long as I have time, I always go to Baidu or Google to check the latest news. The internet is the fastest medium, and you can find the most up-to-date information there. As a reporter, if I can't travel often, I need to stay updated through various channels so I can identify newsworthy angles and write in-depth stories."

Zhuang Moumou, a post-80s media professional, shows more interest in the industry than many of his peers. After finishing his morning routine, he regularly opens major news websites during lunch break, scanning the latest social updates and engaging with his followers on Weibo to share his thoughts. However, today's hectic schedule left him little time to catch up on the news. With upcoming forum planning, in-depth report writing, and a September exhibition report to complete, he feels a bit overwhelmed. "If I just focus on the reporter’s role, I’ll always be busy but not stressed. But when I think of myself as a media person, no day is easy."

Zhuang exemplifies the traits of a new generation of media professionals—caring about politics without over-commenting, embracing new technologies without getting carried away, and maintaining strict work hours without being overly rigid. He researches the latest digital tools, exchanges news with senior industry figures on Weibo after work, and strives to remain as objective as possible, rarely letting personal emotions influence his work. "After work, I don’t deliberately think about the industry, but I do pay attention to what I discuss online. For example, the Shenzhen furniture industry leads the country in design and technology, but most companies aren’t very large. Few furniture bosses are truly committed to long-term branding, and many focus on short-term profits. This might be related to Shenzhen’s simple social structure, clean environment, and convenient lifestyle. It’s also a positive aspect, which is why I love this city."
