Aluminum grilles have become a popular ceiling material in recent years, known for their open visual field, excellent ventilation, clean lines, and modern aesthetic. They offer a neat and organized look while being easy to install and remove, making them a preferred choice in the decorative industry. Aluminum grilles are generally categorized into two types: grooved aluminum grilles and flat aluminum grilles, each suitable for different design needs. The installation process begins with determining the ceiling height using a water level to mark the desired level on the walls. Next, expansion bolts are used to fix the ribs on the ceiling, followed by securing the light steel keel underneath to ensure it remains level. If the span of the grille is less than 3 meters, no additional support is required. Cement nails are then used to attach the aluminum corner trim along the horizontal line. The aluminum grille is assembled on the ground before being lifted into place. Once assembled, the grille is fixed onto the aluminum angle iron, with a thin wire connecting it directly to the light steel keel in the center. During the layout phase, a water level is used to mark horizontal points on all walls and corners. If the wall is long, additional points are marked to ensure accuracy. A level line is then drawn from the reference point at 500mm above the floor, serving as the base for the ceiling grid. The main keels are also marked based on the ceiling design, typically spaced 1000mm apart, with fixing points every 900-1000mm. If there are beams or pipes that interfere, additional fixing points should be added to meet safety standards. Hanging rods are fixed using expansion bolts, usually with a diameter of ф6. These rods can be made from cold-drawn steel bars or coiled steel, but if using coiled steel, it must be mechanically straightened. One end of the rod is welded to an L30*30*3 angle iron, with the hole size matching the rod and bolt diameter. The other end is secured using a larger screw or pre-made threaded rod. All rods must be treated for rust prevention and fixed using an impact drill, ensuring the hole is slightly larger than the bolt diameter. Light steel keels are then hung from the rods, typically using 38mm profiles spaced 900-1000mm apart. They should be installed parallel to the room and arched at 1/200 to 1/300 of the room's span. The overhang of the keel should not exceed 300mm; otherwise, additional rods must be added. Main keels are joined end-to-end, with adjacent joints staggered for stability. After installation, the keel system should be leveled to ensure even support. For ceilings with a span exceeding 15 meters, a secondary main keel must be added every 15 meters, and vertical main keels should be securely welded. Spring plates are then connected to the light steel keel using suspension wires, spaced 900-1000mm apart. The spring pieces are attached to the hangers for secure positioning. Main and secondary grids are pre-assembled according to the design drawings before installation. Finally, the pre-installed grille is lifted into the main keel opening using a hook, and once fully connected, it is adjusted to ensure it is level and properly aligned.
