How to repair the heat pump

The heat transfer oil pump features a stuffing box at the front end of the pump shaft, ensuring reliable sealing performance. Additionally, a mechanical sealing device is installed in the bearing housing, further enhancing the pump's sealing capabilities. As a result, significant leakage is unlikely, and any minor leakage can be safely discharged through a designated drain port. It is normal for a small amount of leakage to occur during the initial operation, but this should decrease or stop after some time as the seal settles. Heat generated by the conveyed medium is dissipated through the surface of the pump cover and the bearing housing, helping to maintain an appropriate temperature for the shaft sealing system. When installing the heat transfer oil pump, it is important to choose a location where heat can easily dissipate, avoiding any areas prone to heat accumulation. The bearing housing contains two ball bearings. One bearing on the impeller side is lubricated with the heat transfer oil being pumped, while the other on the coupling side uses high-temperature grease. After 3000 hours of operation, both bearings must be removed, cleaned with diesel, and inspected for damage. If damaged, they should be replaced immediately. When reinstalling the impeller-side bearing, the side with the dust cover should face the impeller, and heat transfer oil should be added before starting. The coupling-side bearing is filled with composite calcium-based high-temperature grease (ZFG-4). During installation, the dust cover should also face the impeller side, and the grease should fill approximately half of the bearing and housing space. After 48 hours of operation, additional grease should be injected into the bearing cap via the grease fitting. Avoid using a gate valve on the inlet line to adjust flow, as this can cause cavitation. The heat transfer oil pump should not operate continuously at a flow rate below 30% of the design capacity. If such operation is necessary, a bypass pipe should be installed at the outlet to ensure the flow remains above the minimum required level. Regularly check the tightness of the anchor bolts, the temperature consistency between the pump casing and the inlet, fluctuations in the outlet pressure gauge, and the vibration levels of the pump. Monitor the pump’s operation closely and address any abnormal conditions promptly. When shutting down the pump, turn off the power, empty the internal liquid, clean the pump, and periodically rotate the impeller 180 degrees to prevent shaft deformation until the pump has fully cooled.
