Introduction to the use of electric oil pumps

The electric hydraulic pump is a crucial component in many industrial and mechanical systems. It consists of four main parts: the pump body, a rectangular oil reservoir, a pressure handle, and a high-pressure braided steel hose. As the power source of a hydraulic system, it converts mechanical energy from a prime mover into fluid pressure energy, making it an essential part of any hydraulic setup. These pumps are commonly available in three types: gear pumps, vane pumps, and piston pumps. Additionally, they come with different connector options, such as straight-through, self-sealing, and quick-connect types, allowing for versatile use in various applications.

Electric hydraulic pumps are widely used across industries for tasks that require high force or precision. They can serve as the core hydraulic pump for various instruments and equipment. When combined with other hydraulic tools, they enable operations like lifting, pressing, bending, straightening, cutting, and assembly, significantly reducing physical labor and increasing operational efficiency.

To operate an electric hydraulic pump, start by opening the bleed nut and turning on the switch on the oil collection block. Plug in the power supply, then connect the quick connector to the hydraulic device. Press the power switch and let the motor run for 1–2 minutes before engaging the boost mode. At this point, the pump will begin delivering pressurized hydraulic fluid, which will automatically increase in pressure as the load rises, reaching up to 63MPa.

After completing the task, turn off the switch to release the pressure. Allow the hydraulic fluid to return to the reservoir, remove the quick connector, tighten the bleed nut, and disconnect the power. Always follow these steps carefully to ensure safe and efficient operation.

For proper maintenance, use No. 20 hydraulic oil and ensure the oil level remains within the upper limit of the sight glass. When refueling or changing oil, always filter it through an 80-mesh filter or finer. Clean the tank during oil changes and replace the oil every six months. Maintain an operating temperature between 10°C and 50°C. Before starting the pump, open the bleed nut and set the switch to the unloading position. If the motor becomes excessively hot, stop the pump and allow it to cool before resuming use.

The pump is pre-adjusted at the factory and should not be tampered with unless necessary. If adjustment is required, it must be done using a pressure gauge. The high-pressure hose is tested to 105MPa at the factory, but due to potential aging, it should be inspected every six months. For frequent users, inspect every three months at a pressure of 87.5MPa. If there is any damage, bulging, or leakage, the hose must be replaced immediately.

Bearings should be cleaned and lubricated every six months during maintenance.
