Fourth, the calcination stage. When the temperature reaches 450-500 degrees Celsius, the charcoal is further processed. Any remaining volatile matter is driven off, which helps increase the fixed carbon content of the final product. At this point, the formation of liquid byproducts is minimal, and the material becomes more stable.

Fifth, the refining carbon stage. This is the most critical phase, where the temperature rises to between 500-1200 degrees Celsius. Here, the charcoal is refined to improve its quality, reducing impurities and enhancing its structural integrity. This stage determines the final properties of the charcoal, making it suitable for various applications.
