**Plant Pest Control Technical Program for Aphids**
1. **Pesticide Agent**
The recommended pesticide agent includes Matrine, Oxymatrine, and Yunju, which is a 5% natural pyrethrin emulsifiable concentrate. These products are effective against a variety of pests while being relatively safe for the environment when used correctly.
2. **Applicable Environment and Crops**
This program is suitable for use in greenhouses, open fields, and other controlled environments where vegetables, fruits, and other crops are grown. It is particularly effective in areas with high humidity or where aphid infestations are common.
3. **Target Pests**
The program is designed to control aphids, cabbage caterpillars, and other similar pests that commonly affect vegetable and fruit crops. It can also be used as a preventive measure in early stages of pest development.
4. **Technical Application Points**
(1) **Spraying Equipment**: A knapsack manual sprayer is recommended for efficient and even application.
(2) **Application Timing**: Apply the pesticide when the first signs of mites or cabbage caterpillars appear. Early intervention is key to preventing large-scale infestations.
(3) **Solution Preparation**: Dilute the pesticide at a ratio of 800–1500 times. When mixing, first add one-third of the water into the sprayer to avoid direct contact between the concentrated solution and the sprayer walls. Place a filter at the sprayer’s mouth, pour the pesticide into the filter, and rinse it with water before stirring thoroughly to ensure uniform mixing.
(4) **Spray Dose**: Use 30 kg of diluted solution per acre, depending on the crop density and infestation level.
(5) **Application Method**: Apply the solution directly to the foliage where pests are present. Focus on the undersides of leaves and other sheltered areas where aphids tend to hide.
(6) **Frequency of Application**: Spray once every 7 days, repeating the process 2–3 times, depending on the severity of the infestation.
5. **Precautions**
It is important to follow safety guidelines when handling the pesticide. Avoid spraying during windy conditions to prevent drift. Also, the last spray should be applied no later than 10 days before harvest to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
