The official opening of the second Chongqing Cultural Fair tomorrow is a combination of dynamic and static

The 2nd Chongqing Cultural Fair is set to open tomorrow, promising a vibrant blend of motion and stillness. This year’s event features two major themes: the "TOP Animation Game Carnival" and the "Chongqing Home Furnishing Culture and Art Festival." Organizers have designed the fair to offer both excitement and elegance, giving visitors a chance to experience high-speed kart racing alongside an exclusive classical furniture exhibition. According to the organizing committee, attendees will have the opportunity to try out free kart driving experiences on-site. The No. 68 Kart Club from Chongqing, one of the exhibitors at the TOP Animation Game Carnival, has brought a 1,200-square-meter racing track to Hall N6. Visitors can enjoy a thrilling ride without any cost, just by scanning a QR code on-site for registration. Chen Chaofei, head of the No. 68 Kart Club, explained that these karts are not your typical bumper cars. They are compact, with a floor only 4 cm above the ground, creating a sensation of speed that feels two to three times faster than the actual vehicle speed. “Usually, a 7-minute session costs around 110 yuan,” he said. “But here, it's completely free.” In addition to the karts, the club will also showcase a Mercedes-Benz SLS sports car themed around "Transformers," adorned with anime characters and images. This unique display is sure to attract fans of both motorsports and animation. Meanwhile, the Classical Furniture Exhibition, part of the 2013 Chongqing Home Furnishing Culture and Art Consumption Festival, will make its debut in Hall N4. The event will feature over 2,500 square meters of mahogany furniture from more than 10 nationally renowned brands. Visitors can expect to see pieces made from rare woods like red rosewood, Huanghua pear, and golden nanmu, some valued at over 10 million yuan. Chen Qinghuai, general manager of Huixiange Redwood Classical Furniture Co., Ltd., shared that their exhibit includes high-end mahogany furniture worth nearly 20 million yuan, including three sets of circular chairs priced at over 400,000 yuan each. The company is also showcasing a special section dedicated to Phoebe chinensis, a rare and valuable wood known for its warmth and calming properties. Jiang Shang, representative of the Chongqing-based Phoebe chinensis company, highlighted the cultural and economic significance of this wood. “Phoebe chinensis is considered royal wood and has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine,” he said. His company will display a four-piece set worth 1.6 million yuan, along with various sculptures and handicrafts made from the same material. With such a diverse range of activities and exhibits, the Chongqing Cultural Fair promises to be a must-visit event for both locals and visitors alike. Whether you're looking for adrenaline-pumping fun or elegant artistry, there's something for everyone. Don’t miss the chance to explore this exciting celebration of culture and craftsmanship.
