Analysis of automobile drive shaft bolts

In the repair of the drive shaft bolts of automobiles, technical details that are easily overlooked may be:

(1) The joint shaft of the transmission shaft has a stop. Under normal circumstances, the joint of the universal joint fork should be in place; if the stop is hit by a hammer or other reasons, there is burr, or there is sediment and debris attached. At the stop, no matter how the drive shaft bolt is tightened, the two-way joint fork stop can not be in place; during the running of the vehicle, the transmission shaft transmits the torque and generates vibration, and the drive shaft bolt will loosen:

(2) The drive shaft bolts are used improperly. The drive shaft bolts are special bolts. Generally, fine thread is used. It is not suitable to use coarse thread. Especially when the nut is thin, the coarse thread cannot be used because the fine thread has a small pitch and the inner diameter. Larger, the thread angle and lead are smaller, the bearing capacity is high, and the self-locking performance is good. Loose drive shaft bolts are caused by the use of coarse threads on thin nuts.

(3) Leaky spring washers. The function of the spring washer is to prevent the bolt from loosening. After the spring washer is tightened, the longitudinal pressure of the bolt is increased by its elastic force, and its oblique tip also helps to prevent the bolt from loosening. After the drive shaft bolt is loose, there must be a large abnormal sound before the drive shaft is dropped. After the driver hears the sound, the driver should check the cause of the drive shaft sounding and tighten the drive shaft bolt. Get off the train not only to hang up the space, pull the parking brake, but also to plug the triangle wood (eyes or stones).
