Identification of the authenticity of tickets for the Shanghai World Expo

Tickets for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo (abbreviated as Shanghai World Expo) will be available for sale to individuals both at home and abroad on July 1. Relevant experts said in Shanghai on the 29th that the public can easily identify the authenticity of the Shanghai World Expo tickets through four methods: seeing, touching, ultraviolet light irradiation, and magnifying glass viewing.

According to Pang Guangming, director of the World Expo Office of China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation, the Shanghai World Expo ticket is a high-tech paper security electronic ticket. On the basis of traditional printing anti-counterfeiting technology, chip technology with independent intellectual property rights is added. Ticket anti-counterfeiting technology is divided into three levels: public identification, machine inspection, and expert identification, of which public identification is the easiest way.

Pang Guangming said that the first method is to see. Under natural light or light, you can directly observe with the naked eye. The translucent wave pattern on the front of the ticket is bronze in head-up view and green when viewed at an oblique angle; the background color of the text at the lower end of the ticket is golden red when viewed in front, and green when viewed at an oblique angle; On the back, irregularly distributed square pearlescent sequins can be observed by changing the angle, which is integrated with the ticket; through the strong light, the circular antenna shadow can be clearly seen; the lower end of the ticket is printed with a code consisting of hollow white letters and numbers.

The second method is hand touching. The surface of the text at the bottom of the front of the ticket has a noticeable grainy rough feel.

The third method is by means of UV lamps. Red, blue and green fibers are randomly distributed on the front of the ticket; the green Shanghai World Expo emblem, themed text and mascot patterns can be seen in the middle of the back of the ticket.

The fourth method is to use a magnifying glass. You can see the ring pattern “EXPO 2010” printed around the main pattern on the front of the ticket.

The Shanghai World Expo Affairs Coordination Bureau recommends that domestic and foreign ticket purchasers should go to the sales office designated by the Shanghai World Expo ticket agent to avoid damage to their rights.

The Shanghai World Expo will be held from May 1 to October 31, 2010, and is expected to attract 70 million visitors in 6 months. The Expo organizer expects the total number of ticket sales to reach 62 million.
